Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Sultai Voltron build centered on Kotis, the Fangkeeper. Kotis combines native indestructibility with an explosive combat-damage trigger: whenever Kotis deals combat damage to an opponent, you exile that many cards from their library and cast any number of nonland spells among them with mana value equal to or less than the damage dealt for free. The deck fuels this strategy through an extensive equipment suite featuring all 11 'Sword of X and Y' cycle artifacts, Blackblade Reforged, and Buster Sword, paired with sudden pump spells like Hatred and Berserk. Dense 1–2 CMC ramp reliably accelerates Kotis onto the battlefield on Turn 3. By Turn 4 or 5, Kotis attacks with evasion and lethal power, eliminating opponents with commander damage while casting their best spells. Defensive enchantments like Propaganda and Collective Restraint deter crackback attacks, while Conqueror's Flail and efficient counterspells protect your offensive turns.
