Format: Commander

Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Chief of the Wilds commands an aggressive Golgari Wolf typal deck that swarms the battlefield with Wolf tokens while growing a massive commander threat. The commander triggers double value on Wolf abilities, magnifying token production and counter placement across your pack. In the early game, you establish mana through green ramp spells and drop engines like Black Market Connections or Master of the Wild Hunt. As Wolf tokens flood the board, Chief of the Wilds balloons into a lethal attacker. You close out the game through explosive overruns like Overwhelming Stampede and Return of the Wildspeaker, or by overwhelming defenses with Unnatural Growth and Hollowhenge Overlord.
