Deck overview

This deck features Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait leading a classic Simic Landfall and Big Mana strategy. The early game focuses on aggressive mana acceleration through ramp spells such as Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, and Growth Spiral. Once Aesi enters the battlefield on Turn 5, its continuous extra land drop and card draw triggers transform every land played into substantial card advantage, rapidly cycling into massive threats. The deck establishes a critical clock on Turn 6 with token engines like Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths, or sweeping leviathans like Scourge of Fleets and Stormtide Leviathan. Asymmetric bounce spells clear opposing blockers, allowing the deck to close the game through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 8 over two response cycles. While vulnerable to board wipes and lacking nonland tutors, the deck excels in raw resource generation, resilient mana development, and relentless card flow.
