Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius spellslinger and token swarm deck commanded by the partner pair Alphinaud Leveilleur and Alisaie Leveilleur. The strategy revolves around the flurry mechanic of casting two spells each turn. Alisaie discounts the second spell by two generic mana, while Alphinaud draws a card whenever you cast your second spell. This creates a smooth resource engine that triggers token producers such as Monastery Mentor, Kykar, Zephyr Awakener, Aligned Heart, and Alandra, Sky Dreamer. The deck converts these cheap spells into a wide army of evasive or prowess creatures, buffing them with Cathars' Crusade or Inspiring Leader. It closes the game by overwhelming opponents with combat damage via Akroma's Will or by casting Approach of the Second Sun twice. A robust suite of free and low-cost protection spells ensures the board survives enemy interaction.
