Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on generating massive token swarms by sacrificing high-power creatures. The strategy leverages natural tribal synergies, using low-cost Zombies to build early board presence before deploying Gisa to multiply total power on board. Once a wide horde of 2/2 Zombies is created, the deck closes out the game through anthem effects from lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief, evasion from Cover of Darkness, and table-wide life drain from Plague Belcher, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Strong recursion engines such as Lord of the Undead and Rot Hulk provide resilience against board wipes, while Noxious Ghoul acts as an asymmetric sweeper against opposing creature decks. The list operates at a high-synergy casual power level, trading fast mana and combo finishes for compounding on-board value.
