K'rrik demons by user7738446

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black "life as mana" deck built around K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik converts the three phyrexian-black symbols in his own cost, and every other black pip in the deck, into life payments, letting the deck cast mid- and high-cost spells far ahead of curve. The primary plan is to accelerate K'rrik out with rituals, then leverage Cabal Coffers / Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Crypt Ghast, and Bubbling Muck into a massive Torment of Hailfire. The deck also carries a compact combo web: Archfiend of Despair with Pox Plague, Bloodletter of Aclazotz with a large Torment of Hailfire or Peer into the Abyss, and big-mana X-spells. Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Demon beatdown, drain effects, and Liliana's Contract provide fallback wins.
