Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Rakdos spellslinger and tribal burn deck commanded by Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. The primary strategy focuses on assembling a critical mass of Wizard creatures and tokens that deal direct damage whenever noncreature spells are cast. By accelerating mana on the opening turns with rituals and cost reducers, the deck deploys Kuja on Turn 4 and quickly meets the four-Wizard requirement to transform him into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied. Once transformed, Trance Kuja doubles all damage dealt by Wizards, turning every cheap cantrip, ritual, and removal spell into an explosive table-wide burn trigger. Supported by damage multipliers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Fiery Emancipation, storm-style engines like Bolas's Citadel and Jeska's Will, and resilient protection spells, the deck reliably presents lethal pressure across all three opponents by Turn 5 and closes the game on Turn 6.
