Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk leads an aggressive Boros Dwarf tribal deck that weaponizes Treasure generation into massive combat power. The deck develops early board presence by curving low-cost Dwarves such as Dwalin, Weaponmaster, Dori, Bearer of Friends, and Magda, Brazen Outlaw alongside efficient mana rocks. Casting Thorin on Turn 4 immediately creates a Treasure token and converts every artifact token into an offensive anthem, giving each other Dwarf +1/+0 per token. By Turn 5, accumulating 4 to 5 Treasures allows the Dwarf army to swing for lethal combat chunks. The deck closes games around Turn 7 through combat evasion tools like Taunt from the Rampart or tutored bombs from Magda, including Cavern-Hoard Dragon and The Reaver Cleaver. While vulnerable to mass creature and artifact sweepers, the deck leverages tutorable protection equipment like Lightning Greaves and Darksteel Plate alongside independent Dragon beatdown angles to maintain relentless pressure.
