Deck overview

This is a Golgari Saproling token deck helmed by Slimefoot, the Stowaway, built around generating a wide board of 1/1 Saprolings and converting their deaths into incremental life drain. The primary win condition is a critical mass of death-triggered drain effects (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Poison-Tip Archer, Mirkwood Bats, and Slimefoot himself), amplified by token doublers like Doubling Season and Parallel Lives. Sacrifice outlets such as Ashnod's Altar and Chatterfang, Squirrel General enable both mana generation and repeated drain triggers. The deck lacks fast infinite combos, relying instead on value loops and board presence to grind out opponents over multiple turns. Secondary paths include combat with pumped Saprolings via Tendershoot Dryad and Sporecrown Thallid, or a one-shot burst from Plague of Vermin or Spontaneous Generation.
