Deck overview

This is a classic Arcades, the Strategist defender/walls build. The plan is to deploy a critical mass of high-toughness walls, use Arcades' trigger to draw a card for each one that enters, then attack with those walls dealing combat damage equal to their toughness. The deck layers multiple toughness-matters enablers - Assault Formation and Bedrock Tortoise - so it is not entirely commander-dependent. Finishers come from True Conviction (double strike + lifelink), Unnatural Growth (doubling), Akroma's Will, Towering Titan, and The Pride of Hull Clade, with Last March of the Ents to dump the board. A pillowfort package of Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Sphere of Safety, and friends buys time, while Colfenor's Urn, Smile at Death, Raise the Past, and Dusk // Dawn provide recursion. The deck wins through incremental combat inevitability rather than combos.
