Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu battlecruiser strategy centered on Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan is to accelerate into Kaalia by Turn 4, attack on Turn 5, and cheat massive flying Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. By bypassing high casting costs, the deck rapidly establishes an aerial army to pressure opponents. Because the deck lacks infinite combos, extra combat spells, and dedicated tutor packages, it wins strictly through honest combat damage across multiple turn cycles. Hand exhaustion and commander vulnerability represent its primary operational hurdles, as Kaalia must survive a full turn cycle without built-in haste or ward to begin generating value.
