Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-green Bear-tribal stompy deck built to drown opponents in large, trampling bodies. Beorn the Fierce is the engine and finisher all at once: he pumps every other Bear, hands out trample counters, and draws two cards once the board reaches three Bears. The deck accelerates with cheap mana dorks and land-search ramp, then deploys a dense wave of Bears, changelings, and Bear tokens. It wins through combat, usually by pairing Unnatural Growth and Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus with anthem effects like Banner of Kinship and Beastmaster Ascension to turn a modest board into lethal trample damage. Secondary legends like Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma and Surrak and Goreclaw act as hidden commanders, providing cost reduction, haste, and a second anthem effect.
