Ocean Man v8 by user9209658

Format: Commander

Commander: Rikala, Homarid King

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Rikala, Homarid King is a slow multiplier: after three upkeeps it turns every Island into a two-mana source and pumps the team. The deck's primary plan is to ramp into large Krakens, Leviathans, and Serpents, protect the board with counterspells and pillowfort enchantments, and win through repeated combat damage. Secondary paths are the Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage Marit Lage combo and a light mill subtheme with crabs and Fleet Swallower. There is no hidden commander; Kiora, the Crashing Wave's emblem and Koma, Cosmos Serpent act as value engines. The deck is a battlecruiser that wants to survive to the late game and then overwhelm with flying, trampling, or unblockable sea monsters.
