the burning sea by Crabworld

Format: Commander

Commander: Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a midrange Izzet Elemental value deck helmed by Ashling, Rekindled // Ashling, Rimebound. The front face loots on entry or transform, while the back face is a repeatable mana battery that produces two mana each first main exclusively for spells with mana value 4 or greater. The 99 leans into Elemental tribal payoffs (Twinflame Travelers, Enraged Flamecaster, Sunderflock, Flamebraider) and a dense package of mid-sized bodies backed by burn, bounce, and temporary theft. Primary wins come from combat damage amplified by pings from Enraged Flamecaster and Lasting Tarfire, with Blasphemous Act and Sunderflock as board-reset tools. There are no infinite combo lines; the deck grinds through fair midrange exchanges, using Ashling's mana to consistently deploy 4+ MV threats ahead of curve.
