Deck overview

This Esper control deck leverages Oloro, Ageless Ascetic's eminence ability to build a continuous life buffer without ever needing to cast its commander. The primary strategy focuses on assembling a two-card infinite drain combo between Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose (or Enduring Tenacity). The deck uses a dense tutor package to assemble its pieces while controlling the pace of the game using efficient countermagic, split-second removal, and asymmetric stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Aura of Silence. Protection spells such as Grand Abolisher and Silence ensure key spells resolve safely. If the primary creature combo is disrupted, alternative win conditions like Aetherflux Reservoir weaponize the deck's elevated life total to eliminate opponents directly.
