Batman by Peradajian

Format: Commander

Commander: Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal // Temple of the Dead

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-black discard attrition deck helmed by Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal. The plan is to empty opponents' hands with cheap ETB discard creatures and attack triggers, then convert that emptiness into damage via punishers like Megrim, Raiders' Wake, and Quest for the Nihil Stone. Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal anchors the strategy: attack-triggered discard (and draw when hands are empty), Bat tokens off discarded lands, and a death trigger that flips it into Temple of the Dead for resilient recasting. A secondary reanimator package (Victimize, Sepulchral Primordial, Ghouls' Night Out, Afterlife from the Loam) steals or returns threats from full graveyards. There are no infinite combos; wins come from discard drain, combat with oversized bodies like Necrogoyf and Syr Konrad, the Grim, and the alternate "loses the game" clause on Summon: Primal Odin. The deck is midrange, grindy, and commander-supported rather than commander-combo.
