Gisa by iceberg052

Format: Commander

Commander: Ghoulcaller Gisa

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Ghoulcaller Gisa is the engine of a mono-black Zombie swarm deck that converts high-power creatures into a wide board of 2/2 tokens. The primary plan is to cast a cheap huge creature such as Rotting Regisaur, Hunted Horror, or Phyrexian Soulgorger and sacrifice it to Gisa, then push the resulting swarm through with anthem effects and drain payoffs. Secondary paths use Army of the Damned and recursion like Zombie Apocalypse to go wide after wipes, or Plumb the Forbidden / Vampiric Rites to trade tokens for cards and trigger Blood Artist-style drains. There is no true hidden commander, though the 99's Gisa, the Hellraiser acts as a second token producer and anthem.
