Deck overview

This deck is a Golgari Spider Typal Midrange strategy helmed by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. It focuses on building a dense defensive web of Spiders during the early game, utilizing efficient ramp like Sol Ring, Birds of Paradise, and Urza's Incubator to deploy Shelob ahead of curve on Turn 5. Once on the battlefield, Shelob turns every Spider into a lethal deathtouch blocker shielded by ward {2}. When opposing creatures die after taking Spider damage, Shelob transforms them into artifact Food copies, systematically dismantling opposing creature boards while accumulating resource advantages. The deck converts this board control into victory around Turn 6 to 9 through wide combat swings buffed by Return of the Wildspeaker, asymmetric board wipes like Kindred Dominance and Swarmyard Massacre, and direct life-drain activations from Ishkanah, Grafwidow and Rotwidow Pack.
