Deck overview

Helga, Skittish Seer is a Bant creature-combo deck that uses a low curve of mana dorks and land auras to cast Helga early. Her +1/+1 counters and tap-ability let the deck chain self-bouncing creatures such as Blinking Spirit, Shrieking Drake, and Venser, Shaper Savant with untap engines like Chakram Retriever and Intruder Alarm. The main finish is Laboratory Maniac: the loop draws nearly the whole library and creates enough mana to put Lab Maniac into play, then takes one final draw from an empty library. Chulane, Teller of Tales acts as a hidden second commander, supplying extra draw and land drops. A secondary beatdown path uses Helga's large power and Brokers Ascendancy, but it is not the primary win.
