Deck overview

Geth, Lord of the Vault fronts a mono-black big-mana reanimator/theft deck. The primary plan is to accelerate with fast mana rocks and Swamp multipliers - Cabal Coffers, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth, Crypt Ghast, Nirkana Revenant, Magus of the Coffers - then bury the table under a massive Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate. A robust recursion package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Dread Return, Breach the Multiverse) cheats out game-ending threats like Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Sepulchral Primordial. Geth himself is a powerful mana sink rather than a required engine: with enough mana he mills opponents and reanimates the best artifact or creature from each graveyard, and Rings of Brighthearth doubles his activations. The deck backs this up with strong card advantage (Necropotence, Black Market Connections, Phyrexian Arena) and draw-punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Orcish Bowmasters, making it a resilient, largely commander-independent midrange-control finisher.
