Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Simic Landfall combo-control engine commanded by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. The primary strategy focuses on rapid early mana acceleration through low-cost land enablers and dorks, deploying Aesi on Turn 3 or 4 to transform every land drop and fetchland into substantial card advantage. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into critical onset by chaining extra turns with Time Warp, Temporal Manipulation, and Walk the Aeons, or by tutoring the infinite combo of Ashaya, Soul of the Wild and Quirion Ranger. Because Ashaya turns nontoken creatures into Forests, Quirion Ranger bounces itself to untap Ashaya, creating an infinite Landfall loop that draws the entire library through Aesi to win immediately with Thassa's Oracle. The list is fortified by free and low-cost interaction, tutorable creature protection via Sylvan Safekeeper, and resilient backup engines in Kodama of the East Tree, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, and Six.
