How to Lose Friends: The Deck v2 (Vren) by user5365638

Format: Commander

Commander: Vren, the Relentless

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Rat-tribal sacrifice-control commander deck helmed by Vren, the Relentless. The primary game plan is to control the board with a dense suite of edict effects and spot removal, causing opponents' creatures to die. Vren exiles those creatures and at each end step creates an exponentially growing army of Rat tokens. These Rats are then empowered by lords like Karumonix, the Rat King and Ogre Slumlord (giving deathtouch), and win through combat damage. Secondary win conditions include draining opponents via Twisted Sewer-Witch's Wicked Roles and Ob Nixilis Reignited's emblem, plus a few large flyers like Voracious Fell Beast. The deck has no infinite combos and relies on attrition and incremental advantage.
