Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Amass midrange strategy themed around The Lord of the Rings. It builds board presence through the Amass Orcs and Goblins mechanic while controlling the table with efficient creature removal and sweepers like Blasphemous Act and Call Forth the Tempest. Early turns focus on mana development using artifact ramp and land fixing. In the midgame, engines like Saruman, the White Hand, Palantír of Orthanc, and Sauron, the Dark Lord grow an Army token and provide steady card flow. The deck establishes critical pressure on Turn 7 by casting Sauron, Lord of the Rings, which amasses a 5/5 Army, mills cards, and reanimates a massive creature on cast. From there, it closes the game across three combat steps using trample from Orcish Siegemaster and unblockable effects from The Black Gate.
