Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis aristocrats build centered on Marchesa, the Black Rose. It leverages +1/+1 counters, dethrone, and end-step reanimation to generate compounding card advantage and establish dominant board control. The deck accelerates through a dense suite of 2-mana artifacts to cast Marchesa on Turn 4, immediately protecting its creatures by placing counters via combat or static modifiers. Once assembled, it abuses enters-the-battlefield and dies triggers from creatures like Plaguecrafter, Baleful Strix, and Glen Elendra Archmage across every player's turn. It locks creature-based opponents out of the game using Dictate of Erebos while grinding down life totals. The primary win condition is a compact persist loop combining Murderous Redcap with counter modifiers like Metallic Mimic or Gev, Scaled Scorch and a sacrifice outlet, delivering infinite damage in a single turn.
