Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a Dimir control-combo deck helmed by The Scarab God, leveraging a dense tutor suite, fast mana, and a potent two-card win condition in Demonic Consultation + Thassa's Oracle. The deck also supports a mill/reanimator subtheme, using Ruin Crab, Altar of the Brood, and Gyruda, Doom of Depths to fill graveyards, then reanimating key threats or using the commander's activated ability to create 4/4 zombie copies of opposing creatures. The primary game plan is to assemble the consult combo as early as possible, with backup plans involving Laboratory Maniac and an overwhelming stack-interaction package that includes 11 counterspells, 7 free spells, and mass bounce/removal. The deck is highly tuned for a fast, resilient win, with The Scarab God serving as a repeatable value engine rather than a required piece.
