Deck overview

This deck uses Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim as an accessible death-and-life engine. Small creatures such as Crawling Chorus, Doomed Traveler, Garrison Cat, and Hunted Witness become resources when sacrificed, while Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Cruel Celebrant, and Vraan, Executioner Thane convert deaths into table-wide life loss. Skullclamp and several sacrifice-draw spells keep cards moving. The main pressure turn comes from returning many cheap creatures with Raise the Past, Rally the Ancestors, or Return to the Ranks, then sacrificing them. This can create a strong burst, but the deck lacks tutors, fast mana, stack interaction, and a compact infinite finish. Its normal game is therefore incremental: establish redundant pieces, trade creatures for cards and drain, use removal to control key threats, and rebuild with recursion. It can dominate creature-heavy tables over time, but opponents retain several effective ways to interrupt the graveyard-based setup.
