Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis aristocrats and edict control deck commanded by Thraximundar. Its strategy revolves around forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures continuously while generating mana, cards, and damage from every death trigger. Early turns focus on mana development and establishing value engines like Grim Haruspex, Agent Venom, and Mahadi, Emporium Master. In the mid-game, asymmetric attrition pieces such as Archfiend of Depravity, Tergrid, God of Fright, and Butcher of Malakir strip opposing boards and steal resources. Once the battlefield is clear of blockers, the deck lands Thraximundar or Grave Titan as a massive combat threat. Thraximundar forces an edict on each attack and rapidly grows whenever any player sacrifices a creature, finishing opponents through lethal commander damage and direct burn from Mayhem Devil and Spiteful Prankster.
