BLECH, LOAFING PEST by nirarodriguez

Format: Commander

Commander: Blech, Loafing Pest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari deck, helmed by Blech, Loafing Pest, is a +1/+1 counters and life-gain synergy build that leans on the Pest, Bat, Insect, Snake, and Spider creature types. The primary plan is to gain life through a dense suite of triggers (Kazandu Nectarpot, Bogwater Lumaret, Cauldron of Essence, etc.), which Blech converts into +1/+1 counters spread across the whole relevant creature type. From there, the deck out-values opponents via incremental counter growth, card draw on creature deaths (Moldervine Reclamation, Meltstrider Eulogist), and recursion (Moseo, Vein's New Dean, Cauldron of Essence). The main finisher is Craterhoof Behemoth, fetched by Natural Order, turning a wide board of counters-laden creatures into a one-shot trample swing. Backup combat tricks like Root Manipulation and Inspiring Call provide finishing reach and protection.
