Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros Giant tribal and Voltron strategy led by Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas. The primary game plan accelerates into Kalemne by Turn 3 or 4, followed immediately by casting high-impact creatures with mana value 5 or greater to accumulate experience counters. Because Kalemne has native double strike and vigilance, each counter increases her combat output exponentially. Damage multipliers such as Calamity Bearer and Gratuitous Violence, combined with extra combat phases from Aurelia, the Warleader and Relentless Assault, allow the deck to rapidly eliminate opponents with lethal commander damage starting on Turn 6. The deck supports this aggressive posture with tribal cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Stinkdrinker Daredevil, alongside selective board wipes such as Realm-Cloaked Giant // Cast Off and Thundercloud Shaman that leave Giant boards intact. Free and low-cost protection spells like Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Boros Charm keep Kalemne safe during decisive attack steps.
