Deck overview

This Gruul deck is commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince, focusing on Ape and Monkey tribal beatdown amplified by +1/+1 counters and artifact destruction. Kibo gifts Banana tokens to every player, then converts opposing artifact sacrifices and targeted removal into widespread team buffs. The deck utilizes a mix of natural Apes and versatile Changelings like Taurean Mauler, Bloodline Pretender, and Masked Vandal to maintain tribal density. High-impact anthems such as Door of Destinies, Banner of Kinship, and Collective Inferno rapidly scale the board's offensive output alongside counter multipliers like Hydra's Growth and Invigorating Surge. While the deck excels at dismantling artifact-heavy strategies and growing towering attackers, its reliance on combat damage over multiple turn rotations leaves it vulnerable to creature sweepers and targeted removal. It functions best as an aggressive midrange combat deck that thrives on political resource manipulation.
