Thorin Oakenshield by chickenpie393

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin Oakenshield

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin Oakenshield pilots a Boros Dwarf/Equipment deck whose primary plan is a cheap commander-damage kill. The deck races to turn on Storied by combining Thorin with Equipment and legendary Dwarves, then suits him with auto-attaching Equipment (Dwarven Mattock, Dain Ironfoot's Axe) and free-equip outlets (Kili, Amy Rose). Secondary paths are a go-wide Dwarf token army from Fili and Dwarven Shortsword and a burst draw/damage line through Balin Loremaster. Thorin's role is the primary carried beater: trample plus ward-all-once-Storied makes him excellent under multiple Equipment. There is no hidden commander; Aurelia the Warleader is the extra-combat finisher that closes the game.
