Fire Lord Azula, Burst (Firebending)

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Fire Lord Azula leads a Grixis tempo-combat deck that wants to attack, generate red mana from firebending, and use copied instants and sorceries to turn one attacker into lethal. The primary plan is to cast Azula on turn three/four, swing, and chain copied pump/burn spells, with Full Throttle supplying extra combats. Secondary paths use Avatar Roku, The Legend of Roku, and Longshot, Rebel Bowman as independent firebending/ping payoffs. Azula's copy trigger also turns cheap removal, counterspells, and draw spells into two-for-ones. The deck is not a spell-slinging control pile; it is an aggressive combat-value deck that can pivot to burn when Azula is taxed.
