New Untitled Deck by Mazzy

Format: Commander

Commander: Hidetsugu, Devouring Chaos

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck, helmed by Hidetsugu, Devouring Chaos, is a high-variance burn-value strategy that leverages the commander's ability to exile the top card of the library and deal damage equal to its mana value. The plan is to deploy damage multipliers (Fiery Emancipation, Gratuitous Violence, City on Fire, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus) and then use the commander's activation to one-shot opponents with high-CMC cards. The deck also includes a suite of "play from exile" engines (Prosper, Tome-Bound, Charred Foyer // Warped Space, Etali, Primal Storm, Bolas's Citadel) that generate card advantage and treasure tokens. Secondary win conditions include Heartless Hidetsugu + damage doublers for a mass-damage kill, Wound Reflection to double life loss, and Twilight Prophet or Baneful Omen for incremental drain. The deck is explosive but inconsistent, requiring the right mixture of ramp, selection, and multipliers to close out games.
