Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange build built around Sauron, the Dark Lord, combining Orc Army token generation, the Ring Temptation mechanic, and board control. The early game focuses on developing mana rocks such as Mind Stone, Fire Diamond, and guild lockets to cast Sauron by Turn 5. Once on the battlefield, Sauron punishes opponents for casting spells by automatically creating and growing an Orc Army token. When the Army deals combat damage, the Ring tempts the player, allowing Sauron to discard remaining hand cards and draw four fresh cards every turn cycle. The deck uses this card velocity to dig into mass removal like Widespread Brutality and Necromantic Selection, evasion tools like Loxodon Warhammer and Team Pennant, and high-end punishers like Kaervek the Merciless. Victory is achieved by grinding down opposing life totals through massive commander and Army combat damage.
