Deck overview

This Sultai (BUG) deck helmed by Homer, the Hermit is a landfall-mill strategy that leverages changelings and tribal synergies to make Homer's milling ability scale exponentially. The primary game plan is to trigger landfall repeatedly-using Hedron Crab, Ruin Crab, and Homer, the Hermit itself-to mill opponents' libraries while simultaneously filling your own graveyard for value. Changelings (Changeling Outcast, Masked Vandal, Mothdust Changeling) and Maskwood Nexus ensure every creature counts as a Crab, Lobster, etc., boosting Homer's mill output. The deck also packs a dense recursion package (Muldrotha, the Gravetide, Winter, Cynical Opportunist, Life from the Loam, Reanimate) to recover lands and permanents, creating a grindy, inevitability-driven win condition. Alternative win outlets include Syr Konrad, the Grim and Dreadhound for direct damage, and Consuming Aberration as a large beater. The deck is slow but resilient, aiming to outlast opponents through sustained milling and graveyard recursion.
