Goth Porcupine by Tanouye

Format: Commander

Commander: K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth turns this mono-black build into a life-as-mana engine. The deck pays black pips with life to cast expensive black spells and creatures ahead of curve, then refunds that life through K'rrik lifelink, extort triggers, and Gray Merchant drains. Primary plan is to fill the graveyard, use Baron Helmut Zemo's boast to copy key black spells, and use Ardyn, the Usurper to make hasty 5/5 Demons from graveyard creatures. There is no true hidden commander; Baron and Ardyn act as powerful lieutenant payoffs. The usual finish is a large Exsanguinate or repeated Gary recursion after opponents are softened by drain, attacks, and extort.
