Deck overview

This deck leverages Smaug the Impenetrable as a self-contained mana explosion engine. Because Smaug is indestructible and creates a Treasure token for every point of noncombat damage it receives, the deck uses burn spells and damage-based board wipes offensively and defensively. Cards like Cut Propulsion and Blasphemous Act deal 13 to 16 damage to Smaug without killing it, generating an instant treasury of 13 to 16 mana. That surge is immediately channeled into game-ending X-spells such as Torment of Hailfire, Crackle with Power, and Exsanguinate, or converted into lethal table drain with Marionette Apprentice and Mayhem Devil. Backed by dense ritual ramp, impulse draw, and secondary redirection creatures like Brash Taunter, the list converts self-inflicted damage into sudden table-wide victories.
