Deck overview

This Nicol Bolas, the Ravager deck is a high-power Grixis control and combo build that leverages an explosive fast-mana package, premium black tutors, and versatile interaction to dictate the pace of the game. Its primary game plan uses Doomsday to assemble a compact Thassa's Oracle win by Turn 5. When taking a slower route, the deck leverages asymmetric discard engines, planeswalker loyalty synergies with Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God and Ichormoon Gauntlet, and heavy stax-lite attrition pieces like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Tergrid, God of Fright, and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir. Alternate win lines include Show and Tell into Omniscience and Enter the Infinite, or overwhelming the board with planeswalker ultimates and a massive Torment of Hailfire. The deck maintains excellent resilience through redundant win conditions and free commander-based interaction.
