Commander: Maralen, Fae Ascendant

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant is an Elf/Faerie ETB engine that exiles cards from opposing libraries and lets you cast one of them free each turn. The deck's main plan is to develop a wide board of cheap Elves, Faeries, and changelings, keep Maralen alive, and use her trigger for card advantage and theft. Milling and surveil feed a graveyard subtheme: Deathbloom Ritualist makes mana, Cauldron of Essence recurs creatures, and Morcant's Eyes turns Elf cards into a token army. High Perfect Morcant acts as a hidden commander, converting each Elf ETB into -1/-1 counter pressure and using proliferate to grind board control. Wins come from a large pumped combat step, a big stolen spell, or a token explosion.
