Deck overview

This Meren of Clan Nel Toth list is a high-power Golgari reanimator and aristocrats combo deck. It leverages an efficient suite of one-mana mana dorks to accelerate into explosive early-game graveyard tutors and reanimation spells. The primary win condition centers on cheating Protean Hulk onto the battlefield and sacrificing it to assemble a game-ending loop with Warren Soultrader, Blood Artist (or Zulaport Cutthroat / Ayara, First of Locthwain), and Gravecrawler. Because Warren Soultrader is a Zombie, sacrificing Gravecrawler generates a Treasure to recast it repeatedly while Blood Artist drains the table from 40 to 0 life in a single turn. Outside of its fast combo lines, the deck establishes an oppressive attrition engine via Meren, repeatedly looping sacrifice creatures like Plaguecrafter, Accursed Marauder, and Spore Frog alongside Dauthi Voidwalker. With resilient reanimation redundancy and targeted stack protection like Veil of Summer, the deck fluidly pivots between aggressive combo finishes and inevitable midrange control.
