Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu cheat-into-play strategy built around Kaalia of the Vast. The primary objective is to accelerate Kaalia onto the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4 using fast mana artifacts like Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Chrome Mox. Once Kaalia attacks, she bypasses high casting costs to put powerful Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Master of Cruelties can eliminate an opponent in a single combat step, while Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Archfiend of Despair, and Razaketh, the Foulblooded generate overwhelming board presence. The deck supplements this aggressive plan with premium black tutors, efficient spot removal, and free defensive spells such as Deflecting Swat and Flawless Maneuver. While explosive, the strategy relies heavily on Kaalia declaring attacks and can struggle with hand exhaustion without Necropotence or The One Ring.
