Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Golgari aristocrats and reanimator strategy helmed by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The game plan accelerates mana on Turn 1 using green mana dorks, then loads the graveyard with high-impact creatures using premier tutors like Entomb, Buried Alive, and Survival of the Fittest. The deck controls the board through recurring utility creatures, using Spore Frog to neutralize combat and Accursed Marauder to strip opposing boards. When ready to close the game, it uses reanimation spells like Reanimate and Victimize to assemble Razaketh, the Foulblooded or a lethal loop featuring Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. By looping Gary with undying and -1/-1 counter manipulation, the deck drains all opponents simultaneously from full health. Even without its commander, redundant reanimation spells and creature engines allow the deck to pivot smoothly and win decisively.
