Maestros massacre by american87idiot

Format: Commander

Commander: Anhelo, the Painter

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Anhelo, the Painter is a Grixis spell-copy value deck that wins by turning copied instant and sorcery spells into a huge board of Zombie, Drake, Elemental, and copied creatures. The commander's casualty ability is the cheapest repeatable copy engine, but the deck also packs Double Vision, Twinning Staff, and Extravagant Replication so copying does not end at Anhelo. Kess, Dissident Mage acts as a hidden onboard commander, giving one recast per turn, while Lier and Maestros Ascendancy add more graveyard access. Secondary paths include retracing Call the Skybreaker for fliers, reanimating Puppeteer Clique, or mirroring an opponent's board with Clone Legion. The primary finish is a copied Army of the Damned swinging twice for lethal.
