Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Equipment Voltron strategy helmed by Captain America, First Avenger. The core engine leverages Captain America's Catch ability to bypass steep equip costs at the beginning of combat, rapidly suiting up with powerful artifacts such as Excalibur, Sword of Eden, Genji Glove, and the cycle of Mirran Swords. Once assembled, the deck eliminates opponents one by one via lethal commander damage, supported by combat damage doublers like Fireshrieker and Gratuitous Violence. Beyond combat, Captain America's Throw ability doubles as a versatile burn engine, converting high-cost Equipment into targeted removal against blockers, planeswalkers, or player life totals. While the deck boasts high artifact redundancy and resilient threats like Cid, Timeless Artificer, it relies on natural draws due to a low density of dedicated tutors and must navigate the inherent vulnerability of Voltron strategies against well-timed removal.
