Deck overview

This mono-black deck is built around Shredder, Shadow Master, using his combat ability to pressure the entire table simultaneously. When Shredder attacks, he creates tapped and attacking copies of himself targeting every other opponent. Each copy that connects deals 5 combat damage and cuts that player's remaining life total in half, dropping a starting table from 40 to 17 life in a single combat step. Because the tokens are sacrificed at end of combat, the deck integrates aristocrats payoffs like Bastion of Remembrance, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Syr Konrad, the Grim to turn those deaths into further table-wide drain. Without fast mana or tutors, the deck plays on curve, ramping on Turn 2 to cast Shredder on Turn 4 and attack on Turn 5. Evasion cards like Cover of Darkness and Glaring Spotlight ensure combat damage connects, while reanimation spells keep the pressure high after board wipes.
