Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Impossible Man as a versatile copy engine to cheat out lethal threats and scale value. Its primary win condition pairs the commander's copying ability with Dark Depths, turning Impossible Man into a zero-counter land that immediately triggers the creation of a 20/20 flying indestructible Marit Lage token on Turn 4. The deck protects this clock with a dense suite of low-cost countermagic, including Fierce Guardianship, Mana Drain, and Spellskite. Complementing the beatdown plan is a robust secondary package of artifact stax pieces like Grafdigger's Cage to shut down graveyard strategies, alongside mill engines such as Psychic Corrosion and The Water Crystal. By copying utility creatures, legendary beaters, and value engines with cards like Spark Double and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, the deck maintains strong mid-game resilience while steadily eliminating opponents through massive evasive combat damage.
