Deck overview

This mono-red spellslinger deck centers on Nico Minoru, Runaway, transforming cards cast from exile and the graveyard into lethal noncombat damage across all opponents. The strategy accelerates through early mana rocks and burst rituals such as Jeska's Will and Seething Song, quickly establishing mana producers like Birgi, God of Storytelling and Storm-Kiln Artist. Deep impulse draw spells like Light Up the Stage, Wrenn's Resolve, and Embrace the Unknown provide continuous card velocity while triggering the commander's burn ability. The deck converts card advantage into a game-winning storm turn using Underworld Breach, Past in Flames, or an infinite mana loop with Mana Geyser and Reiterate. Defensively, cheap redirect spells such as Deflecting Swat, Return the Favor, and Redirect Lightning protect your key combo pieces from opposing interaction while maintaining your high-velocity spell chain.
