Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-black turbo combo deck designed to exploit explosive mana acceleration and massive card-draw engines. Built around Griselbrand, the strategy leverages format-ceiling mana rocks, rituals, and reanimation spells to deploy the commander or alternative engines like Necropotence and Bolas's Citadel by Turn 2 or 3. Once deployed, the commander converts life directly into cards, drawing through the library to find positive-mana pieces such as Cabal Ritual and Skirge Familiar. From there, the deck executes deterministic same-turn win conditions, primarily using the Professor Onyx and Chain of Smog infinite Magecraft drain combo or the Bolas's Citadel, Sensei's Divining Top, and Aetherflux Reservoir loop. The list is heavily saturated with unconditional tutors and redundant lines, allowing it to bypass commander reliance entirely when necessary while threatening rapid, unrecoverable table kills.
