Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth leads a Golgari graveyard-value deck built on repeated sacrifice and recursion. It gains experience counters whenever other creatures die, then deploys those counters to bring back powerful cards such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Hornet Queen, or Avenger of Zendikar every end step. The primary plan is attrition: trade creatures for value, drain life with Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat, and control the board with Dictate of Erebos and Grave Pact. Secondary paths include a Pattern of Rebirth tutor chain into Razaketh and a Living Death mass-reanimation finish. There are no infinite combos; wins require several recursion cycles or a large board swing.
