Deck overview

This deck is a classic Abzan Reanimator deck helmed by Teneb, the Harvester. It accelerates mana in the opening turns, dumps massive threats into the graveyard using cards like Entomb and Buried Alive, and reanimates them ahead of curve with spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead. Key targets like Archon of Cruelty, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, and Sheoldred, Whispering One dominate the board by forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures, discard cards, and lose life. Midgame control is reinforced by edict loops featuring Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and Fleshbag Marauder. The commander acts as a repeatable late-game reanimation mana sink rather than a mandatory combo piece. The deck closes the game around Turn 8 through overwhelming combat damage from evasive beaters and mass reanimation spells like Living Death and Rise of the Dark Realms.
